THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A new report suggests that the Mandala-Makaravilakku season will be a headache as protests of Hindu organisations are getting strong on the Supreme Court verdict in connection with the women entry at Sabarimala. More women are expected to reach Sabarimala during this festive season. So far, 550 women between 10 to 50 years of age have registered in the portal formed by the Kerala Police. A total of 350,000 have already booked in the portal so far. In the wake of the protests by the Sangh Parivar, it would be a challenge for the police to arrange security for these women to reach Sabarimala. The government has by now witnessed the protests in Sabarimala and so sudden action by the police provoking the protestors is not possible in Sannidhanam. Though jammers were installed, commandos and rapid action force were deployed for Chithira Aattavishesham it was not at all effective. Not only that Sangh Parivars were in control of Sabarimala making police mute spectators. There were reports that more than 3000 protestors from Kerala reached Sabarimala. More are expected to reach the divine abode during the festive season.
