THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president P S Sreedharan Pillai has come forward changing his earlier statement that tantri had called him before announcing that he will close the temple if women enter there. "What I meant was that someone from the tantri family called me. Now, there is no need of a controversy as they have clarified that they had not called me", Pillai told reporters during a press meet. Pillai had earlier said that tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru called him to make a decision about closing the temple when rituals are violated by entry of women.
Some members of the tantri family had called me to take decision on closing the temple. I don't remember who called me. They called me from a phone that does not belong to a NDA leader. If tantri says that he did not call me, then he is right. I have not told Rajeevararu's name to anyone", said Pillai.
