ALAPPUZHA: In the Nehru trophy boat race held in Punnamada lake to find the king among boat rowers, Payippadan Chundan Snake boat steered by Pallathoruthi boat club under the leadership of James Kutty Jacob emerged the champions.

This is their fourth consecutive victory.

In a race that was filled with high spirit and enthusiasm, Payippadas defeated Thekkethil from Mahadevikkadu.

The runner up in the race is Mahadevikkadu thekkethil. Ayapparambu Pandi reached the third place and Chambakkulam boat club, Kumarakam came fourth.
