As per the instruction of temple thantri, festival Sreebali rites were suspended. Other pujas were held after atonement pujas.
Alpashi festival started on November 5.
The CCTV visuals showed a lady wearing the dress usually worn by a non-Hindu, moving inside the temple during the darshan time that started from 9 am yesterday (Sunday).
Later she entered the sanctum after changing into traditional dress.
Under these circumstances, Thantri Tharanallore instructed the priests to suspend all pujas and do atonement rites. In accordance with this, the Ezhunnalathu in palanquin (procession carrying idols in palanquin) to be held at 4:30 pm was stopped. The temple doors were closed after the rites and usual darshan and pujas resumed Moday.
As per the rules here, anyone those who believe in Hinduism can enter the temple. Non-Hindus should submit an application to substantiate this if they want to enter the temple.
The temple authorities later said that the Non-Hindu woman who entered the temple had satisfied this pre-condition.
