THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister K T Jaleel said that the nepotism issue is a closed chapter. "There is no connection between Adeeb's resignation and the allegations raised against me. I have no inolvement in his resignation. It was Adeeb's decision. New allegations are being raised because the previous allegations are not true", said Jaleel.

KT Adeeb resigned from the post of general manager with the Minorities Development Finance Corporation. This was following the controversies over Adeeb's appointment. In the resignation letter he says that the decision to quit was taken as his self-esteem was questioned. The Youth League made it clear that they would continue protesting on the issue even after Adeeb's resignation.
