JAMMU: Ceasefire violation by Pakistan led to one more soldier attaining martyordom along the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
"Pakistan Army this evening at around 5:15 pm resorted to an unprovoked ceasefire violation in Krishna Ghati Sector (Mendhar) in the Line of Control (LoC), resulting in none soldier getting martyred and another being critically injured", a Defence spokesperson here said.
He said in the incident, Lance Naik Antony Sebastian KM, native of Kerala wascritically injured and succumbed to gunshot injuries.
"Havildar Mari Muthu D also sustained gunshit wounds and was critically injured in the firing, adding immediate resuscitation and medical aid was provided to the soldier. He has been evacuated to Military hospital, Poonch," the spokesperson added.
