PUNE: Pune-based activist Trupti Desai, who had earlier led agitation to allow women entry into Kerala's Sabarimala Temple, pinned her hopes on visiting the temple during the pilgrimage season. "I will reach Sabarimala in the first week of pilgrimage season. I am planning to reach there between the dates of November 16-20 and I will declare the date tomorrow", said Trupti Desai.
Trupti Desai is an Indian gender equality activist and the founder of the Bhumata Brigade, a Pune-based social activist organization. She and the brigade have campaigned to get entry for women to religious places like the Shani Shingnapur Temple, the Haji Ali Dargah, the Mahalakshmi Temple and the Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple in India.
