KOZHIKODE: Youth league state general secretary P K Firoz has come forward against minister K T Jaleel with more evidences in the nepotism allegations. Youth league alleges that Jaleel had directly involved in the appointment of Adeeb by writing a note to department secretary directing to make a change in the basic educational qualification criteria.

“K T Jaleel sent a note to the department secretary A Shajahan IAS on July 28, 2016. However, on August 3rd, Shajahan sent a reply saying that this should be decided in the cabinet meet. Minister said that a cabinet approval is not required for taking a decision on deciding an additional qualification for a post in the minority financial corporation. This points that the minister was directly involved in appointing Adeeb. It was later approved by Pinarayi Vijayan”, said P K Firoz.

“The chief minister should give a proper reply. Why is Pinarayi afraid of Jaleel, who is not even a member of CPM, when he had not feared E P Jayarajan?” asked Firoz.
