THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:All-party meet held to discuss the women entry issue at Sabarimala failed to reach a consensus. BJP and Congress walked out of the meet when Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed that the government will move forward with implementing the Supreme Court verdict. Leader of opposition Ramesh Chennithala alleged that the government is being adamant in their stand and they did not accept the instructions of UDF in the issue.
BJP state president P S Sreedharan Pillai clarified that they wasted time with all-party meet. Pillai said that the government has to pay a high price for this decision.
"The government is with the devotees and will ensure protection for them. The government is trying to arrange necessary security at Sabarimala. Government has no other option other than respecting the Supreme Court verdict. The court has not stayed the previous order. Therefore, women between the ages of 10 and 50 can visit Sabarimala", said Pinarayi Vijayan
