KOCHI: The Kerala High Court Friday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Rehna Fathima in the case of posting a photo in the Facebook hurting the religious sentiments following Supreme Court verdict on the Sabarimala issue. The court directed the police to move forward with further proceedings. The case was registered by Pathanamthitta police alleging hurting religious sentiments.
The case was registered over a complaint filed by R Radhakrishna Menon, a native of Kottayam. Rehna Fathima along with journalist Kavitha from Andhra Pradesh had tried to enter Sabarimala during Malayalam month of Thulam. But they were not permitted to reach the shrine following protests of the devotees. Following the protest, they had to return back.
