SABARIMALA: Devaswom board has decided to move SC, seeking time to implement its order that allows women of all ages to enter Sabarimala. However, the time limit will not be mentioned in the plea since it would be the prerogative of the court to decide on the time.
The petition will be moved tomorrow (Saturday), if not on Monday.
This was informed by Devaswom board president A Pdmakumar after the board's review meeting held at Pamba. He underscored that Devaswom board was not for making any compromise in Sabarimala temple’s age-old tradition and customs.
Senior advocate Chandar Udaya Singh will appear for Devaswom board in the court.
The Devaswom board will also make plea in the court for allotting forest lands in Sabarimala in order to provide facilities for devotees since the existing ones have been ruined by recent floods.
