trupti-desai

KOCHI: Activist Trupti Desai who had arrived at Nedumbassery airport at 4:30 am today (Friday) with the strong intention to visit Sabarimala has finally decided to return to his homeland in Pune as the protesting believers even didn’t allow her to go out of the airport.

Desai has informed the police that she would be returning today (Friday) itself by around 9:30 pm.

However, she has said that she would be coming to Kerala again in Mandalam season itself to visit Sabarimala.

She got stranded for about 13 hours in the airport. What mainly hampered her intention was that no taxi drivers or not even the police were willing to transport her to some hotel for accommodation, fearing attacks.

Meanwhile, there are hints that Trupti would be approaching the high court for police escort to Sabarimala, during her next visit. She is learnt to have sought legal opinion on this. In between, three women lawyers also came forward, offering help for Desai.
