KOZHIKODE: Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala has come forward criticising the hartal that is being observed against Hindu Aikya Vedi president K P Sasikala's arrest. Chennithala was talking to the reporters in Kozhikode.
"Hartal is not the right way to stage a protest against the government. Many people are affected by the hartal that was declared late at night. The government made Sasikala important by arresting her. She did not go to Sabarimala as a devotee. This arrest is a joint plan by CPM and BJP to make Sasikala famous', alleged Chennithala.
'The only solution to settle Sabarimala issue is a constitutional amendment. Sreedharan Pillai should approach the central government. BJP is politicizing this issue', he added.
