CHENGANNUR: Thiruvananthapuram Kazhakoottam native Mary Sweetie again arrived in Chengannur bus stand to board a bus to Sabarimala. But as protestors blocked her, she had to turn back. She later returned to Thiruvananthapuram. During Thulam puja also Mary Sweetie had made an attempt to go to Sabarimala.
Then she was blocked at Pamba. Sweetie on Saturday reached Chengannur by train. There she managed to get into a bus heading towards Sabarimala. But soon protesters identified her and forced her out of the bus. When she waited in the waiting hall of Chengannur Railway Station, protesters protested chanting Sharanam in front of the hall. Finally the police had to toil hard to send her back.
Meanwhile, police said that Mary Sweetie was making contradictory statements when she was confronted by protesters. “Mary says she is a representative of Dubai Media and Events and wanted to go to Pamba Ganapathy Temple as she had got telepathic instructions from Dubai to do so,” the police said.
