SANNIDHANAM: Hindu Aikya Vedi state president K P Sasikala has promised the police that she will return from Sabarimala before evening on Monday. Sasikala and her group were stopped by police team led by SP Yatish Chandra at Nilakkal. They were travelling to Pampa from Erumeli.

The police team said that she can visit Sabarimala if they promise that they will not create any issues. She was allowed to visit the temple after giving the police a written confirmation. Meanwhile, two youths were arrested by the police for disrupting the duties of policemen. However, they were later released when it was informed that they were part of Sasikala's group.

Yatish Chandra explained that they asked Sasikala whether she is going to Sabarimala as part of the protests that occurred on Sunday. "Sasikala has promised that she will return before the evening. There are no controls for the devotees to visit the temple. Thousands of devotees are visiting Sabarimala without any issues. The police is stopping only some of them and people can understand the reason. How can the police allow the activists of a particular party to camp at Sabarimala?", asked Yatish Chandra.
