KOCHI: It has been reported that a group of six women has reached Kochi to visit Sabarimala. Sources say that the women are Malabar region and they reached Kochi at 4 am on Monday. It was also reported that they reached Kochi by train and the police hace got information about them.
The women are said to be from northern Kerala. There have been no confirmation about whether they are connected with any political parties. It has also been reported that they will get protection from the police when they reach Nilakkal.
Six women had reached Sabarimala when the temple was opened for the monthly poojas of Thulam and Chithira Aatta Visesham. However, none of them were able to visit the temple. More than 800 women have booked to visit the temple during the pilgrimage season. Many women from the southern states, Delhi and Kolkata are included in this.
