KOCHI: The high court has raised harsh criticism against the government in connect with the Sabarimala issue. The court asked what rights the police have to say that devotees should not enter Sannidhanam. The court also observed that police is staging attacks at Sabarimala in the name of women entry. Women and children were thrashed in the attacks, said the court. The court also asked why such control measures are taken at Sabarimala and also sought an explanation from the government. The details about the police officers deployed at Sabarimala should be given. The court also asked whether these officers are trained to handle a mob. The government is also directed to explain the details of experience of the policemen deployed at Nilakkal, Pampa and Sannidhanam.
