Director V A Sreekumar Menon, who had sustained serious injuries after he fell down from the escalator at Mumbai airport on November 17, is recuperating in hospital.

The accident happened on November 17 during his journey from Mumbai to Kochi. He slipped from the escalator and broke his jaw born.

He was rushed to a private hospital and operated upon immediately. Doctors said his health condition was improving.

Menon was in the last stage of the work of the Mohanlal film Odiyan, directed by him. He was supposed to have submitted the film this week to the Sensor board
Antony Perumbavur is producing the film under the banner of Ashirwad Cinemas. The film is expected to reach theatres on December 14.
