sabarimala-protest

SABARIMALA: As a continuation of Sunday’s protest, namajapa protest was held again at Sannidhanam (near Vavaru nada) on Monday night. When the police asked them to disperse, they retorted whether they didn’t have the right to chant saranam.

“We came here only to chant Saranam. Please allow that…we also want permission to lie down here,” they said. But police said, that was not possible since prohibitory orders had been declared in that area.

Police later moved them to a place near Malikappuram but the devotees were not ready for it, saying that the place were filthy and stinking urine. The protestors were also heard asking the police whether it was Pakistan.

SP Pratheesh arrived in person and talked to the protestors. Later they dispersed after agreeing to the police request to chant sharam without forming groups. About 15 persons were there for the protest this time.
