THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There are chances for heavy rains in Kerala on Wednesday. New low pressure areas have appeared on the south west of Bengal deep sea and along the equator above Indian Ocean. As a result of this, there will be heavy rains across Kerala, according to the Met department.

Yellow Alert has been declared in Idukki, Pathanamthitta and Kottayam district. The department has asked people to exercise caution.
