KOCHI: The House of Aparna Sivakami, who had organized the press meet of three young women devotees at Kochi was attacked on Thursday morning. Aparna is a native of Ernakulam. The attackers came on bikes and pelted stones at Aparna's house.
Reshma Nishanth and Shanila Satheesh, natives of Kannur and V S Dhanya, native of Kollam held the press meet at Kochi under the leadership of Aparna Sivakami. The vehicles of neighbours parked on the front yard were not damaged. Glass windows were broken and Aparna clarified that she had heard the sound of bikes.
The women do not plan to visit Sabarimala in the current situation. However, they had clarified that they will observe penance till they get to visit the temple. They were brought out of the press club under police protection.
