Actess Revathy has come out against AMMA president Mohanlal over his comment on #Metoo campaign. Revathy has criticised him on her Twitter handle, without naming him.
Revathy’s reaction came in response to the actor’s recent statement that #Metoo has become a fashion now.
“A prominent actor has said that #Metoo has become a fashion now. How should we convince people like this? Like what Anjali Menon said, those who have come from Mars do not know what sexual assault is. They also don’t know why women have to say that in the open. They don’t know the changes brought by that revelation, as well,” Revathy wrote on his Twitter.
Mohanlal in a recent interview had said that #MeToo had become a fashion and there is no need to see it as a movement. “#Metoo’s time is over now… it has started fading out. It had only that much life span,” Mohanlal had said.
