surendran

KOCHI: BJP State General Secretary M T Ramesh has alleged that the government’s plan is to trap BJP leader K Surendran in fake cases and lock him up in jail for ever.

“The Chief Minister’s Office has been conspiring to destroy Surendran. We shall not allow the government to hunt down Surendran as part of political vendetta. The government is trying to confront him politically. The BJP will take legal and political recourse to counter the attempt to destroy Surendran,” M T Ramesh said.

Ramesh said that the government had been trapping Surendran in cases one after the. “When he was about to get bail in the first case, a second case was brought against him. In the alleged incident on Chithira Attam day, he has been charged for non-bailable offences including murder attempt. As a case was filed against him, the police should have booked other identifiable persons who accompanied him as well. There is no policemen who don’t know Surendran. The arrest had definite scheming and the conspiracy was hatched in the chief minister’s office. This was done to avenge his involvement in Sabarimala issue. If the government is challenging us, we are ready to take it up in that spirit,” Ramesh spoke out.
