PATHANAMTHITA: The Prohibitory orders in Sabarimala has been extended to four more days. The extension will be for places from Elavunkal to Sannidhanam.

The Section 144 restrictions will continue till November 26. The police had earlier asked for extending the prohibitory orders till January 14, considering the possibility of clashes in Sabarimala. The SP had given the report to Pathananmthitta district collector. The prohibition, clamped at Sannidhanam, Pamba, Nilakkal and Elavunkal was supposed to have ended today (Thursday).

Ranni-Konni Tahasildars also had given the report that “existing situation doesn’t demand clamping of Section 144 as there is no chance for violence”.

Section 144 was declared in Sabarimala, Pamba, Nilakkal and Elavunkal.
