PATHANAMTHITTA: BJP state general secretary K Surendran has been remanded to 14 days for hatching a conspiracy in the case of attacking Lalithadevi (52), a native of Thrissur, during Chithira Attavishesham in Sabarimala. Though the police wanted Surendran, the 12th accused in custody, the court said they will consider it tomorrow. The court will also consider his demands like to shift him to Poojappura Central Jail from Kottarakkara, bail should be granted, should allow him to speak to his family members tomorrow. He was taken to the sub jail after produced in the court. Meantime, K Surendran alleged that the CPM is trying to take him to Kannur Central Jail where notorious criminals are lodged. The fake cases levelled against me are with the consent of the chief minister’s office. I have not atended in any attacks that happened in Sabarimala. It is absolutely wrong to say that a conspiracy was hatched. If the allegations levelled against me is proven right, I will end my pubic life, he told reporters while coming out from the court in Ranni.
