THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Unconfirmed reports say that Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Nirmala Sitaraman will reach Sabarimala. The BJP is bringing one of the senior most two ministers to Sabarimala amidst the allegations of the Sangh Parivar and BJP that the state government is trying to destroy Sabarimala.

The state government which has clamped prohibitory orders at Sannidhanam and Pampa has taken into custody many BJP and Sangh Parivar leaders into custody. BJP state general secretary K Surendran is still in jail now. The behaviour of SP Yathish Chandra towards Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan had sparked a controversy. 69 persons have been jailed for chanting ayyappa mantras at Sannidhanam. The union home minister is coming to Sabarimala in this background. BJP MPs V Muraleedharan and Nalin Kumar Katil had visited Sannidhanan. The BJP is planning to bring more union ministers to Sannidhanam. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitaraman had expressed their willingness to come to Sabarimala. Meantime, no exact date has been informed on their arrival.
