THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After violinist Balabhaskar’s family came forward with the allegation that there is some mystery behind his death, DGP Loknath Behera gave instructions on Friday to conduct a detailed inquiry into his death.

He has also asked the Crime Branch to give necessary help to the local police in this regard.

Balabhaskar’s father had given a written complaint to the DGP, seeking a probe into the death.

In the complaint the father says that his son had some financial dealings with an Ayurveda hospital in Palakkad and that “dubious” dealings should be probed. “It should also be probed why Balabhaskar sped in his car to Thiruvananthapuram,” the complaint says.
