PANOOR: Even five days after the missing of two Kannur Panoor native girls, the police have not got any clue about them. Drishya (20) and Sayana (20) had gone missing on Monday. Like on any normal day, the girls went to college on that day too in the morning but they didn’t return even in the night. After this, their parents lodged a missing complaint with the police.
Police, who traced their mobile phone signal, found out that their mobile phones were switched off at Kannur Railway station. They have not switched their phones on since then.
Meanwhile, police have got information of their look-alikes in Mysore, Thaliparambu, Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram. But they have not been able confirm them to be the missing girls.
Sayana’s parents said that both girls where thick friends from their childhood. Even they had opposed both of them speaking over their mobile phones for hours. Police also have come to know that Drishya’s wedding had been decided.
The girls had arrived at Panoor on Sayana’s scooter. The scooter was found parked on the road side. Police have examined the houses of the students but have not got any evidence.
The missing girls are Lab technician course students of a private institution at Panur. There are also information that on the day of their missing, they had enquired at Parad travel agency about Thiruvananthapuram-bound trains.
Police also tried to collect some information about the girls from Thiruvananthapuram but they couldn’t find any.
