SANNIDHANAM: The protestors arrested at Sabarimala for defying prohibitory orders and staging namajapa were granted bail on Sunday. Police arrested 82 persons on Saturday night at 10 pm for staging namajapa at Sannidhnam. The namajapa were staged near the Vavar Nada by two groups. The cops told them that Section 144 was imposed here and asked them to disperse but as they did not budge, the police had to arrest them. The namajapam ended just before the sanctum sanctorum was closed after rendering ‘harivasanam’. Soon after that they were arrested by a team led by DySP. They were granted bail after shifting them to Maniyar Camp. In the history of Sabarimala, this was the biggest arrest witnessed on Saturday night. They were later taken to Pathanamthitta A R Camp in three police buses
