KOTTAYAM: Hindu Aikyavedi State president K Sasikala has said that devotees will violate whichever draconian law the government brings in Sabarimala.

“Saranam will be chanted violating the Prohibiory rules. Whatever rule the government brings in to shackle devotees, all that will be broken. There will be no compromise on the right to worship,” Sasikala was speaking at a press conference in Kottayam on Monday.

“Though Prohibitory orders are extended, Saranam will be chanted. Chanting of Sharanam is part of the custom. It is hard to obey if it is said that we should not chant Saranam or spread sheet at Sannidhanam to take rest. Prohibitory orders should be lifted if protests have to be ended,” she said.

Meanwhile, Sasikala said that she was clueless about the BJP circular that made a call to send people all days to Sabarimala. “We have asked devotees not donate money in hundis. Most strikes have met with success only through monetary sanctions. The government is making laws unmindful of the high court directions,” she said.

Sasikala added that the government’s suggestion to set apart two days for men to enter Sabarimala has no legal validity. Indian constitutions guarantees Right to worship. We need to get that right,” Sasikala said.
