THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police is adamant to lock K Surendran, who was taken in to custody from Nilakkal while he was travelling to Sabarimala. He had received production warrant for six cases while he reached Poojappura central jail on Tuesday. The warrants have been issued to take action against Surendran on the cases filed in Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam and Kozhikode districts. Surendran was brought to Kannur court from Kottarakara sub jail two days ago. He was later produced before Kottarakkara court and Poojappura central jail. Surendran had demanded to be shifted to Poojappura central jail. However, as more cases are getting registered against Surendran, police may bring him to courts around the state. Meanwhile, BJP alleged that police action is human rights violation as they are not considering Surendran’s health.
