KOTTAYAM: Scriptwriter K Harikrishnan said that ‘Odiyan’ was written by keeping Mohanlal in mind as the protagonist. “Mohanlal, producer Antony Perumbavur and director Sreekumar Menon reached the decision to make the movie after hearing one scene from the movie. Mohanlal agreed to do this movie without reading the whole script”, said Harikrishnan in the press meet at Kottayam. “Odiyan will be exactly how you want to see Mohanlal”, he added. “Odiyan is a story of a village in Palakkad over a span of 50 years. We have treated this movie in a non-linear manner. The stories that I have heard about ‘Odiyan’ during my childhood have affected this movie. Odiyan will hit the screens in 3500 theatres on December 14.
