KOTTAYAM: Activist Rehana Fathima broke in to tears when the court remaded her to fourteen days' judicial custody. Devotees reacted in social media that it is Lord Ayyappa who has given this punishment to Rehana. Nobody is coming forward staging protests in support of Rehana Fathima.

Rahana told the judge that it was a mistake and she will not repeat this. Rahana was in tears when she was brought to Kottarakara jail. She kept silence when her co-prisoners started ridiculing her.

The police had arrested Rehana Fathima for hurting religious sentiments through social media. The case was registered on the basis of the complaint by R Radhakrishna Menon, native of Thrukkodithanam. She was charged with several offences.
