KOLLAM: Student organisations KSU and ABVP have called for bandh in Kollam on Friday, alleging that the Fathima college management was responsible for the death of a girl student in the college.

The student had committed suicide the other day by jumping in front of a speeding train after she was ousted from the exam hall for allegedly copying during an exam.

It was first year student Rakhi Krishna who had committed suicide.

After expelling her from the exam hall, the college authorities informed her parents but she went missing before they arrived.
Later, in a search conducted, her body was found on the railway track adjacent to S N College.
