PATHANAMTHITTA: Pathanamthitta principal session court has denied bail to K Surendran in connection with the case charged against him for blocking a 52-year old woman at Sabarimala. Court stated that a bail cannot be granted to Surendran as he has been charged with a murder attempt. The court has also denied the bail pleas of all other accused. Meantime, Kozhikode district court has granted bail to K Surendran in connection with the case of blocking a train in 2013 as a protest against fuel price hike in 2013. However, he will not be released from custody as he is charged with several other cases. Prosecution had informed the court that they have the video proof of Surendran's involvement in the clash at Sabarimala. However, Surendran's advocate argued that the government is politicizing the issue and Surendran is charged with fake cases. Pathanamthitta court had adjourned the proceedings earlier following this.
