KOLLAM: Now, there is allegation that police are fumbling with the case related to Kollam Fathima College First year English degree student Rakhi Krishna, who had ended her life by jumping in front of a speeding train recently.
The police which had registered a case for unnatural death have recorded the statements of college teachers, students and Rakhi’s relatives. It is alleged that the police are now trying to protect teachers who had inflicted mental pain on Rakhi.
The exam invigilator had caught Rakhi, alleging that she copied in the exam hall, and handed her over to the exam squad.
Other students in the exam hall told the police that the teacher and squad members took the photo of what was written on her churidhar top and ridiculed her. It is said that this incident had forced her to take her own life.
Meanwhile, the police version is that certain charges can’ be made in the case on the basis of statements already recorded.
The investigation team had examined the writings on the churidhar top but it was not legible due to blood stains on them. The photo of the writing has been taken. The officers will talk to the teachers to know about the question and answers of that day’s exam to help their probe into the contents of the writings.
