PATHANAMTHITTA: Prohibitory order in Sabarimala will stay on for four more days. The existing prohibitory order was supposed to end tonight. Currently Prohibitory order is in strength at Ilavunkal, Nilakkal, Pamba and Sannidanam.
Prohibitory order was extended on basis of District Additional Magistrate that chances of conflict still exist. The report says that there was organised hymn chants at Sannidhanam on 27th to 29th of November. The number of protestors increased from 40 to 250 in two days according to the report.
The District Police Chief has also submitted a report that mentions chances of protest and chaos at Sabarimala. The police had requested to extend the prohibitory orders till the end Makaravilakku festival.
The District Collector has made it clear that there won’t be any restrictions for Ayyappa chants.
The Observation committe will have the ultimate supervising power
The three men observation committee at Sabarimala have supervising power on everything says High Court. They can take decisions on matters and events as they happen. The three men committee consists of judges P.R. Raman, S.Sirijagan and D.G.P. A. Hemachandran. The first meeting of the committee will take place this Sunday at the Aluva Guest House. Sabarimala Special Commissioner is in charge to compile the committee’s work.
