THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Nair Service Society will continue their non-cooperation stand with the Government in light of Sabarimala women entry. NSS won’t be a part of today’s meeting organised by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The meeting is intended to bring about common ground between the government and renaissance groups in the Sabarimala issue. The government have invited around two hundred organisations for the meet.

State government’s haste to implement the Supreme Court verdict on Sabarimala women entry have annoyed N.S.S. In the meantime, S.N.D.P. have made it clear that the decision on participating in the meet will only be taken after core committee meeting.

The government is hopeful that the renaissance organisations will stand together to uphold the value of renaissance. The government also aims to guarantee the support of the groups that doesn’t stand with B.J.P.

N.S.S have had been critical of the restrictions and prohibitory orders at Sabarimala along with the government’s haste to implement the SC verdict. Their continued non-cooperation might prove to be a major set-back for the state government.
