KOTTAYAM: Set-back for P.C. George at his constituency Poonjar as the allies of his party ‘Janapaksham’ have made it clear that they won’t be co-operating anymore. P.C. George had recently made a statement that he’ll stand with BJP on the Sabarimala issue.

SDPI, who supported George in the 2016 elections have announced that they won’t be co-operating with him anymore. George contested the 2016 elections as an independent candidate and secured a sensation win with a lead of 27,821 votes. Muslim community votes played a major role in his victory.

P.C George’s new alliance with BJP have resulted in the non co-operation of his former allies. But George’s NDA alliance is expected to have a successful outing in 2019 Loksabha elections.
