THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP leadership has decided to block Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other ministers as a protest against the arrest of BJP state secretary K Surendran. He also added that the government should be prepared to confess that their decisions at Sabarimala were not right.
"The police are violating the rights of K Surendran. Chief Minister's office is behind this. The officials are also responsible for this. When national leaders reach Sabarimala, then the protests will be received in a much more widespread manner", said M T Ramesh.
A four-member BJP delegation formed by party chief Amit Shah will visit the Sabarimala shrine in Kerala to meet the public and party workers in order to assess the atrocities allegedly being committed against the "satyagrahis".
The delegation was constituted by Shah Tuesday to get a first-hand account of the ongoing agitation at the famous hilltop shrine in the southern state. It will submit its report within 15 days to the party chief, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said in a statement.
