SABARIMALA: G Dinesh, native of Palakkad and G Vijayan, native of Kollam had joined the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on the same day on 1985 December 2. Both of them completed their 33-years long service on Saturday at Sabarimala.

Vijayan is a deputy commandant of National Disaster Response Force and Dinesh serves as the deputy commandant of Rapid Action Force. They are happy to be united at a holy place like Sannidhanam. Vijayan has been coming for Sabarimala duty for the last 11 years. Both of them are active in the 'Punyam Poonkavanam' programme, started by IG P Vijayan.

Dinesh was a member of the state junior basketball team during his schooldays. He was also a member of Government College team in Chittur. Vijayan has won medals in athletic competitions while he was studying in SN College under Kerala University. He was a member of the national athletic team of CRPF.

Vijayan has also served as the personal security officer of Dr. Subramanian Swamy. Dinesh served in naxal areas as well as at the Jammu and Kashmir border. Both of them have won the President's medal for excellent service in 2017. Vijayan was also the coordinator several forces during Kerala floods. Dinesh was responsible for the charge at Nelliyambathy in Palakkad.

Dinesh reached Sabarimala for duty for the first time in 2016. However, Vijayan has been coming for Sabarimala dutybsince 2008. Both of them are happy with Sabarimala duty.

Vijayan's wife house is in Pattathanam in Kollam. Vijayan has two sons, while Dinesh has two daughters. Both of them have four years of service remaining.
