KOLLAM: The commission appointed by Fathima Matha National College to investigate on the suicide of the second year student Rakhi Krishna, will submit their report today. The commission, who have already recorded the statements of students that wrote the exam with Rakhi, will submit the report to the Principal after taking the statements of the remaining staff. The statements of the students state that Rakhi was mentally tortured by the teachers while the staffs are trying to protect the teachers. There is immense pressure on the students, staff and the commission to protect the alleged teachers.
Rakhi was accused of malpractice during an exam. Her classmates in their statement to the police have stated that Rakhi was tortured mentally multiple times.
The Police have registered a case for unnatural death. In order to gather more proofs the clothes worn by Rakhi at the time of death have been sent for forensic tests. The mobile phone that captured the pictures of Rakhi’s clothes is also in police custody. While organizations like Viswa Karma is demanding a murder case against the teachers, the investigation team is yet to gather proofs to build such a case.
