THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The differences of opinion in the BJP are getting worse day by day after the Sabarimala strike was shifted to the secretariat. It has been hinted that a section of the party has started using pressure to remove P S Sreedharan Pillai from the post. It is heard that they are using pressure on the central leadership to remove him from the post. A four member MP team led by national leadership general secretary Saroj Pandey was sent to the state following the complaint levelled against Pillai. The team had led talks with the state leaders. Amit Shah is expected to reach the state soon after the Rajasthan assembly polls.

Strong criticisms were showered against the state president for not staging strong agitations after K Surendran was sent to jail. Shifting the strike to the secretariat also irked the activists. Pillai was criticised at the BJP leadership meet held in Kozhikode last Friday. The meet decided to violate prohibitory orders in Sabarimala and show black flags at the chief minister and other ministers. Pillai was also criticised for not visiting Surendran in jail.
