KOCHI: Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) informed the high court that women entry at Sabarimala could not be implemented due to limited time and the resistance from high official committee. Devaswom board also informed that they had sought more time from the Supreme Court to implement the verdict.

Protection should be ensured for women. Permanent construction works are not possible in Pampa due to resistance from high officials committee. Devaswom board director S Jayasree said that the construction works can be made only according to the Sabarimala masterplan.

The survey conducted by advocate commissioner appointed by the high court is ongoing. This survey is being conducted to settle the dispute between devaswom board and department of forest. The Supreme Court has given approval for maintenance works.

Sannidhanam

Paid rooms and dormitories are arranged in Sabari, Pranavam, Sahyadri, Kailas, Plazhi, Chinmudra, Sivasakthi, Thejaswini, Sreematha and Maintenace office complex. However, there are no separate rooms for men and women. Devotees can lay their sheets for free and also paid services can be availed.

Toilets have been arranged for women on the east side of 'Nadappanthal', Chinmudra guest house, bhasmakkulam., Pandithavalam, Magunda sheet shed and queue complex. 11 toilets are arranged on Chandranandan road.

Pampa

There are no proper facilities for devotees in Pampa due to after effects of floods. There are 264 paid toilets and 26 free toilets. 20 toilets are just for women. There are four sheds for women to change clothes.

Nilakkal

There are 970 toilets in Nilakkal. 80 of them are ladies' toilets.
