KOCHI: Kerala high court has sought the observation committee’s stand on the arrangements for women’s entry in Sabarimala. The bench including the chief justice asked committee to inform it about its observation.
The court’s observation comes in the wake of the petition filed by Kannur native Reshma, complaining that she was not able to visit Sabarimala temple after waiting for days under 41 day penance.
While considering the petition the other day, the court asked Devaswom board to apprise it of the arrangements made for making possible the visit of women between the age of 10 and 50 to visit Sabarimala.
In accordance with this Devaswom board secretary S Jayasree gave an explanatory note to the court. The observation committee will have to clarify their stand on the arangements mentioned in Sabarimala for women’s entry.
