THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The discussion on adjournment motion in the Assembly on Wednesday pinpointed the flaws in the post-flood activities of the government.
V D Satheeshan MLA alleged that there were lapses from the part of the government in its flood relief activities. Not even 20 percent of the flood-affected people have got the immediate flood relief of Rs 10000.
“Compensations were not given to people who carried out rescue works. The amount announced for fishermen was not given to them. The interim compensation announced by the government for people who lost their houses were not distributed. What is happening is a new Kerala building without clarity, master plan or action plan,” he alleged.
