TALIPARAMBU: The police have intensified the investigation on Parassinakkadavu gang rape. A special team is likely to be appointed for the investigation as reports about more victims are coming out. Cases have been registered in Pazhayangadi and Kudiyanmala police stations in connection with the gang rape. Six cases have been registered in Valappattanam.

Five people were arrested in connection with the case. Two more people were arrested on Thursday. Kannur women police have arrested a man for sexually abusing victim’s friend. The investigation is led by DySP K V Venugopal.

More details have been revealed in the investigation focussed on different tower locations. A local leader of DYFI is also involved with the case. DYFI had staged a march to the lodge where the victim was sexually abused and this has also faced a backlash.

The police have imposed POCSO on all the accused. K V Sandeep (20), native of Mattool, C P Shamsuddeen (37), V C Shabeer (36), K V Ayyoob (32), native of Naduvil and K Pavithran (38), manager of Parassinikkadavu Park Tourist home were arrested on Thursday. 30-year old Jithin and 25 year olf Vysakh were arrested today.
