KOLLAM: Noted drama director and cine-serial actor Karakulam Chandran passed away on Friday morning. He was under treatment for some time. Chandran was active in the drama industry for more than 50 years. He has won several awards from the state government and Sangeeta Nataka academy including Ramu Karyattu award for life time achievement. He has appeared in some films portraying villain roles. Several dramas such as 'Eeswarante Melvilasom' and 'Ividam Swargamanu' directed by Chandran are very well-known.
