THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Sangh Parivar is getting ready to form another women’s wall to counter the LDF-led women’s wall to be held on January 1.
Sangh Parivar is planning to line up double the number of women that would be included by the LDF for their women’s wall and turn it into a mammoth rally.
State-level leadership meet of Hindu organisations will be in Kochi on December 12 in this regard. In this meeting, programmes to protest LDF-led women’s wall will be charted out. It will also be decided when the rally should be held.
Sangh Parivar will be trying to rope in Hindu organisations that is not linked to Sabarimala Karma Samithy. If the government and LDF bring in women government employees and teachers to take part in the woman’s wall, Sangh Parivar will also gather people from these classes to counter the women’s wall.
The Sangh Parivar is now trying to run the campaign that the government is going ahead with its Women’s wall programme to create the impression that women in Kerala are in favour of young women’s entry in Sabarimala when the Supreme Court will consider the review petition on Sabarimala verdict on January 22.
So it aims to dissuade women who are against the SC order, from attending the government-led women’s wall. Sabarimala Karma Samithy is currently carrying out door-to-door awareness programme on the need for preserving traditions in Sabarimala. They are also distributing pamphlets in this connection.
Hindu organisations calculation is that the government won’t get sufficient number of women for creation the wall. They presume that the wall will be confined to certain centres. However, all counter-wall programmes will be finalised during a meeting to be held on December 12.
