THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ignorance of CM towards the protest of legislators shows that he has the attitude of Hitler, says opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala. He was talking after inaugurating Legislative Assembly rally organized by UDF District Committee to showcase solidarity towards the protesting legislators at Assembly hall entrance.

“The government is trying to make Sabarimala weak by extending Prohibitory order. This is clear message to the devotees that there will be difficulties. The assault of RSS and BJP is another reason. The government cannot go forward by shedding blood at every democratic protest. UDF will continue protests even after Legislative Assembly is adjourned”, Ramesh Chennithala said.

“Attempts to harm one’s faith won’t accepted. Peace should be re-instated at Sabarimala. The government’s stand towards the protesting legislators in unacceptable”, said Former CM Umman Chandy.

M.K. Munir was critical of government’s attitude towards protest. He also said that Speaker only listens to the voice of the CM.

The protests which had hundreds of women workers of Congress was stopped by the Police near R. Shankar memorial at Palayam. Several UDF leaders including UDF convener Benny Behanan, K. Muraleedharan, Shafi Parambil, Solomon Alex were present.
